Been nice knowin ya!

Well guys, it's been nice knowin ya! I am leaving in a few weeks and I am not sure if I will return. You see...I may not be able to physically walk to the plane to get home or even move at all for that matter. I have just signed my life away. I will be at the Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu, California for ONE FULL WEEK! From sun up to sun down for 7 whole days I will be working out. Hiking in the woods, up mountains, swimming, one can only assume running will be involved, I can only assume that squats, crunches, lunges, oh yeah...and lots of vomitting will be occuring. I have never worked out for more than 90 minutes at a time...on my own watch...at my own pace. I am an asthma sufferer, my lower back is shot to H E double hockey sticks...my knees don't really like me...I have had surgery for plantar fasciitis....all these reasons give me ample excuse not to work out like I should. However, on the flip side all these reasons are all the MORE reason I HAVE to get up and go! I absolutely positively have to. I am 31 years old and feel 50. I have a husband that will likely outlive me at this rate as he is in shape. I have children who deserve to have a mom that can actually get out of the house and do stuff with them.

Is one week  at the BL Resort going to be THE answer??? Well, I know that going there is only half the battle. 90% of the battle is in my head. I think the opportunity to have 1 whole week to focus 100% on me and my health with no distractions, will be amazing. They fix all of your meals for you, for a total of 1200 calories a day. I am sure I eat at least 2500 a day right now.

But Janelle...how is this different from when you tried the Dr. Phil diet? Or LA Weightloss? Or having a full membership to a gym and not using it? Or or or??? Everything else in tarnation you have tried?

Well, I am glad you asked! I don't really know! All I know is I have the opportunity to try! I know that previously all of my attempts have been more emphasis on the food and less emphasis on the excercise. One can only think going to 5 workout classes a day (OMG..did I just say 5 workout classes a day??? Biting fingernails!) that you have to lose weight. Also, I will get the opportunity to try just about every kind of excersize their is known to mankind, meaning I will definitely find something that fits me. More than anything, I will be pushing myself to a place I have never been.

Thank you so much to my husband that loves me and supports me enough to say "if you want to do it, do it...I am not going to hold you back...if it is something you feel is important that I won't stop you."

If I live to tell the story..I will surely blog about my entire experience! Prayers are very much accepted!
